To Help You Get a Job

Job Frustration

If you haven’t figured it already, this website was created to help you get a job. The job market is tough. The competition is fierce. There is so much confusion as to what to do and what not to do. I recently wrote “The 10 Worst Thing to Put on Your Resume” and it received over 7200 views. That’s enough people to fill a small venue. With all of those views I just hope it helped someone get a job.

When you help people cut through the bad recruiters, terrible companies and sorry resume writers looking to take advantage of you, the job seeker, you get rewarded. I love writing resumes, each person is different it’s a challenge and at the end of the day I get to hear my clients say “I got a job today!” Can’t beat that.

I’ll keep helping you and you keep working hard to find that dream job because it’s only going to get tougher.

Here are a couple of articles to help you along. The first is from Alison Green and it was on U.S.News and YAHOO! It’s called “6 Small Résumé Changes That Have a Big Impact” normally, I don’t like these types of article because they are often bad and confusing but this one is good. Alison suggests many of the things I preach and incorporate into my resume writing process. I particularly like number 1, number 2, number 3, number 4, number 5 and number 6; wait, that’s all of it. Yes, I like all of it. Please read it.

The next article I want to share is this one by Kris Dunn, CHRO in Atlanta with Kinetix. We’ve talk about this one before and even did an interview about it but it’s really good and relevant. I’ve actually used portions of this article as tips and advice to some of my clients. It’s titled “Responding to Interview Questions: the Ultimate Guide”.

That’s all for now.
